Kenmore Kirk Exterior

WELCOME

Kenmore Kirk is a beautiful historic Perthshire church nestled in the breathtaking Scottish Highlands, ideal for hosting weddings, celebrations, and events of all kinds.

Our enchanting atmosphere and picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for your special moments.

Let us help you create unforgettable memories in our unique venue.

Our 450 year old kirk is owned and managed by our community.

No longer a church, it continues to be a vital part of our village and wider area, and still functions as a fine place for celebrations  of all types.

Celebration Success

Over 120 people attended the Kirk celebration Day event of Saturday 1 August to mark the community ownership of the Kirk, and also the re-opening of the Kirk to the public on a daily basis.

Special celebration cake, bubbly refreshments and some music were all on offer, and there was the  opportunity to see inside all parts of our beautiful kirk.

People were given the opportunity to make suggestions on the future of the Kirk. and to volunteer to get involved in helping the Trustees to move forward in this exciting and historic venture.

Thank You, to all who turned up, and to all who helped make the day a success.

Sri Damesh Pipe Band

Kenmore village paid host to a very unusual pipe band today (6 August).

The Sri Damesh pipe band from Malaysia came to pay tribute to the infant son of the last Maharajah of the Sikh Empire, at his grave in Kenmore kirk yard.

The band makes regular visits to the grave as part of their tours of Scotland.  This year they will also take part in the world pipe band competition and some highland games.

During their visit they marched through the village and performed various composed versions of pipe classics, including Highland Cathedral before laying a wreath at the memorial.

About the Kirk

The community purchase of the kirk has allowed us to restore the building to its former glory, re-open it to visitors, and to continue to host weddings, funerals and other events and celebrations.

In the longer term, we hope to create a more flexible community space and hold more ambitious events.
